Backflow testing, handled end to end.
If your property has a backflow prevention device, it must be tested every year by an accredited tester and the result lodged with the water authority. We organise the tester, look after any repairs, and make sure it is lodged on time.

Why it matters
It protects the drinking water, and it is your legal obligation
Backflow is what happens when pressure drops and contaminated water is drawn back into the drinking supply. The prevention device is the only thing stopping it, and it is a mechanical part that wears.
Hunter Water requires annual testing of registered devices by an accredited person, with results submitted. Missing the deadline is the property owner's problem, not the tenant's.
The test itself is done by an accredited tester we bring in. We book them, attend, carry out any repairs the device needs, see the result lodged, and remind you before it falls due again. You deal with us and get one invoice.

Questions
The ones we get asked most
The testing is done by an accredited backflow tester we work with, because that test has to be carried out and signed off by someone holding the accreditation. Everything around it is ours: booking it, attending, the plumbing repairs, the lodgement and the reminder next year.
If you have a registered testable device, yes, annually. Commercial premises, strata buildings, properties with irrigation systems, fire services or certain trade equipment usually do.
Most failures are a worn seal or spring, and that repair is our work. Once it is fixed the tester retests and the passing result is lodged.
Compliance sits with the property owner. In commercial leases the cost is often passed to the tenant, but the obligation remains with the owner.
Yes. We make sure the report is completed and submitted, and send you the copy for your own records.
