Compliance
You should always get a certificate
Every gas installation in NSW requires a Certificate of Compliance. Without one there is no record that the work was tested, and that becomes your problem at insurance time or at sale.
We pressure test every installation, check each connection for leaks, and issue the certificate to you in writing rather than into a filing cabinet.
If you have inherited gas work and are not sure it was done properly, we can test the installation and tell you where it stands.

Questions
The ones we get asked most
Yes, on every gas job that requires one. You get a copy in writing, and it is issued in your name.
Where the manufacturer supplies a conversion kit for that model, yes. Where they do not, converting it is not legal or safe, and we will tell you.
Every two years, and always before the first cold snap. Unflued heaters in particular should be checked for carbon monoxide.
No. An intermittent smell usually means a small leak that opens up under certain conditions. Turn the gas off and call. It is not something to monitor and see how it goes.
